Due to Covid, the ACLE – All China Leather Exhibition – was held in Shanghai as per ususal for the first time in four years. As the only German company in our sector we had our own booth.

Our expectations were exceeded by active interest overall and 35% more visitors compared to 2019, which made our hopes for a recovery of the international markets a more optimistic.

The furniture manufacturer Silla de Vaca (www.silla-devaca.eu) presented their -Typ A- chair in two versions, standard and child, at their opening celebration on 13.05.2023 in Niederkrüchten. The manufacturer devotes himself to absolute transparency towards their customers regarding the history of their raw materials. Starting with wood and oil, filler and upper materials as well as the manufacturing process, all raw materials and individual processes of each furniture piece are digitally retraceable using the indentification number online.

We as A+B Hides are proud to be able to contribute a significant part towards transparency with our traceable TraceHides raw material and also to take part in shaping the opening celebration.

Over 30 international leather industry organizations called on the 26th United Nations climate summit to prioritise natural materials as a means of directly mitigating climate impact, while reducing the reliance on fossil-fuels.
